WEEE Directive
The EC Directive 2202/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) that mandates the producers’ responsibility to register, report, and recycle the WEEE has been in effect since 13 August, 2005. The transposition state of the directive to the national legislation within the European Union varies. Please check with the local authority for the current transposition status for an individual Member State.

Because it falls into the category of Medical Devices producer, Abbott Point of Care Inc. recognizes the importance of environmental protection and actively takes responsibility for minimizing the environment impact caused by our products.  To discharge this responsibility an appropriate plan to collect, treat and recycle the WEEE that may be generated by our products has been implemented.
